PhD positions @ Advanced RF Technologies (ART) Group and the Microelectronics Circuits Centre Ireland (MCCI)

The Advanced RF Technologies (ART) Group and the Microelectronics Circuits Centre Ireland (MCCI) at the University College Cork (UCC) and Tyndall National Institute (TNI) are offering fully-funded PhD positions for well-qualified and highly-motivated individuals with strong interest in Microwave/RF Circuit Design of high-frequency active RF components including but not limited: highly-reconfigurable active filters, power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers and RF co-designed active/passive components. The successful candidates will be involved in cutting edge research for the next generation of 5G/6G wireless communication systems where highly-miniaturized reconfigurable RF front-end circuits are highly desirable. The proposed research will set the grounds for adaptive RF front-ends/transceivers with low size, weight, power and cost (SWAP-C), multi-functional and full-duplex capabilities.
